Beggar Who Gives Alms

by: downhere
[from their latest album, "Ending Is Beginning"]

There are no mystic jewels embedded in my prose
No moonlit haloed cherubs perched on my piano
No lyrics laced with pixie dust, no angels sing along
I am just a beggar who gives alms

Gold and silver have I none, but such I have give Thee
Borrowed words from the One who gave the gift to me
The pearl that I could never buy, this life, this dream, this song
And I am just a beggar who gives alms

I am not the creator, but a scribe with a pen
I'm recreating visions through a cracked and broken lens
Only One has ever seen the home for which we long
And I am just a beggar who gives alms

-- Sadly the video was deleted from Youtube for copyright issues. =\ --

And with that, I am off, friends.
Off to be responsible.
That seems to be the theme nowadays.
Unfortunately.
And unfortunately, my brain has yet to receive the memo.
But never fear!
Tonight I will do the 4 assignments from this week, and be readddy, ready for the test.
Mmhmm.
More ready than I was for my history test today.
And my Chem test.
But who ever does good on a chem test?
Chemists?
Most likely.

Genius [on iTunes] created for me a fabulous playlist.
I would put it down, but you probably don't care.

**Did you know?
--That when Jamie was in 4th grade, she didn't understand how to use conjunctions, so she'd just write the whole word out instead?
Sad.
And what is also slighty pathetic is that she didn't know her multiplication "facts" very well until sometime in middle school.
Hah!
Its. Alright. To. Be. Slow.

I catch up eventually.
Even if its too late.

Highlights from playlist:

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
gentlemen - Rafter
Romulus - Sufjan Stevens
...Some Jon Foreman, Feist, Matt Nathanson, Bright Eyes, Paramore, Weezer, Fleet Foxes, My Brightest Diamond....etc

Anywho,
GOODNIGHT.
[good. fight]

  1. That is an amazing song. I really like that phrase, "a beggar who gives alms". It sums up our worship to God well. :)
