Well....made it home.
Third times the charm...haha
At first, the ride was horribly awkward.
There were 3 people who were riding together, and so they were sitting in the seats where its four grouped together and the chairs are facing each other.
The seats are assigned.
So I got to be one of the lucky people who get to sit with people who know each other.
Awkward.
But oh my gosh.
They had the coolest accents ever.
They were from London.
Actually, it was two guys and one girl.
The girl and one of the guys were from England.
But the girls boyfriend was American.
I was sitting facing the girl, and next to to English guy.
And I was facing the opposite direction that the train was going in, so I got to move backwards the whole time. It was fun.
Okay. So.
Lyle completely dies.
Luckily I had my charger with me in my bag, and luckily there's outlets on the walls of the train by the floor.
So I asked the guy next to me if there was an outlet and we found one, and then I asked him if he would mind plugging it in for me since I couldn't reach.
Hahaa.
He tried.
It was hilarious.
He kept trying to plug it in but he couldn't.
"Sorry, I'm an Englishman. All our plugs are different"
We were all laughing.
By the way, his accent added to his adorable attractiveness.
He even made cursing sound pretty.
Like, usually I think people sound stupid when they swear.
But not with an English accent.
So he hands it over to the American and he tries to plug it in.
It didn't really work out for him so well, either and eventually he went all the way under the table and got it in.
Funniest thing ever.
We were still all laughing.
Oh, and the English guy had a fedora type hat. Amazing.
Haha! And I heard him sing, "Are we human, or are we dancer".
Beautiful.
The girl was really nice too.
They were all just happy traveling people.
And the best part was when it was time to get off the train and he took out my charger.
(with accent) "I can take it out just fine, but I just can't put it in." Ready for this?
"Sorry, my love"
Haha. That's like the best thing anyone has ever said to me.
So all day since then I've been saying everything in my head with an English accent.
And it was more of the British more rugged type than the flowy English type, if you know what I mean.
They talked about a lot of interesting things, too.
Like food from England and America, addictions, festivals, british tv show comedy....
much fun.
And it seemed to me to be the quickest train ride I've had. I mean, I know it was the same amount of time, but it just went by a lot faster.
I love how something so awkward turned into something so happy.
