Mmm, tomorrow makes me happy, indeed.
So does listening to Sondre Lerche.
Amongst other music.
SOUTHBOUND TRAIN
Tomorrow I will be listening to Jon Foreman, Conor Oberst and... other stuff. I thought I had this more planned out....guess not.
There might be a little shuffling going on.
Oh! I will most definitely be listening to Sufie. I finally got his b-sides to Illinoise. So freakinliciously good. His mind amazes me.
I wonder if I'll get a window seat.... Well, going there its almost guaranteed because I think its one of the first stops of the day and so empty that I get to pick where I sit.
The right side is good for a bit till you go past Seattle. Then it's not so great.
Left side is the way to go.
Except last time on my way there and back I missed seeing a naked old guy. The ocean is on the right side.
You know, I might sit on the right side after all.
Maybe.
You can't see the Space Needle from that side. Bah. Indecision. It's a killer.
Oh! I know. I should flip a coin.
Probably won't though.
And I'm so happy that I don't have to take the bus to the station.
I loved doing that the last time, but that was because I didn't really have any stuff.
My dad works like, a 5 minute walk from the station, so he's going to pick me up on his way there and let me drop my stuff off.
I have big plans, friends.
I'ma go to Starbucks or the pastry place (or both) and then sit on the beach for a bit.
It's so super peaceful to do on a weekday morning because virtually no one is there except the ferries that come and go.
And birds. Lot's of birds.
And fish!
There's cute little jumping fish.
And one time I saw a seal.
And that early it won't be too hot.
Just comfortable beach time.
Yay times a million.
CENICITAS (little ashes)
So I finally am watching Little Ashes.
I love it.
It's so weird. But so good. And oddly adorable.
But that is slighty to be expected with Rob Pattinson.
It's funny how Twilight really doesn't fit the general vibe of him.
He's not all pop culturey or anything.
He sings hard core blues stuff and acts in movies like this. Little Ashes.
It's about the Spanish artist Salvador Dali and this famous poet who falls in love with him in the 1920's.
(Rob P. is Dali)
I've only watched half of it so far, but I know it can't end well because I've read that Dali wasn't homosexual at all and didn't like that the poet guy fell in love with him.
Although it pretty much looks like he's encouraging it to me.
...there may have been a scene....
Anyways.
Good movie so far.
Haha, they were leaving a fancy dinner, and he yelled at the guards, "Viva le Revolution!" and then they ran after him and he had to hide.
PACKING
I've half way started. Pretty much just been throwing everything I own into my bag. (clothes wise).
Good plan.
You never know what you will need in the course of 10 days. Never know.
It's supposed to get up into the 90's, though.
I hardly have any summer clothes.
This may prove to be a rather large problem for me.
Ah, well.
And I AM NOT bringing Phynley with me.
My sister is coming to visit here a week or less after I come see her, so she can get it then, I guess.
But still.... =\
I made my friend a 20 minute video today.
Didn't realize it was that long.
Good thing facebook gave me a limit. It could have gotten even crazier.
Whoa, Nelly.
Whoa, dang.
Whoa...is me?
Nah.
Just time for me to stop procrastinating.
Not sure what I' procrastinating for, though.
Packing is almost done...and I'll probably finish in the morning.
Gah, but what if I don't fall asleep till 6am again?
Then I just won't go to bed at all.
Convenient for me that there will be Starbucks in the picture in the morning.
I wish I knew French.
Someday, kids.
"Someday I'll fly away..."
Good movie.
(Moulin Rouge)
Anyways, there will be Starbucks tomorrow, and I am getting an iced black coffee at the least. Might have to get a big one.
Except going on trains already makes me feel caffeinated. Throw a green apple into the mix and there would be no need for a train engine. The conductor could just attach me to the front and tell me to start running.
No joke.
INTO THE WILD
I also saw ^ today.
So good.
So sad.
So good.
So, so good.
I like him.
I liked his adventure.
I wish I could do something like that.
But we all learned that it's better to do it with people.
So...
...I wish I could do something like that with a good, good friend whom I love dearly.
Haha, it sounded like I had someone in mind.
Nope, not really.
I was just setting up the criteria for the accompanying friend.
Bringing a dog would be fun too.
But a dog can't stop you from eating poisoness plants that will stop you from being able to digest food........
Sad movie.
My question is:
WHY COULDN'T HE OF JUST TRIED TO WALK ALONG THE RIVER TILL IT GOT NARROW?
He could have made camps along the way....seriously. It has to end somewhere.
Here is a quote/poem thing from him, though:
"Two years he walks the earth.
No phone, no pool, no pets, no cigarettes. Ultimate freedom. An extremist. An aesthetic voyager whose home is the road. Escaped from Atlanta. Thou shalt not return, 'cause "the West is the best." And now after two rambling years comes the final and greatest adventure. The climactic battle to kill the false being within and victoriously conclude the spiritual pilgrimage. Ten days and nights of freight trains and hitchhiking bring him to the Great White North. No longer to be poisoned by civilization he flees, and walks alone upon the land to become lost in the wild."
— Alexander Supertramp
May 1992
And with that....we shall do the antynom of commense.
We uncommence.
