Job 37:1-6
1 "At this my heart pounds
and leaps from its place.
2 Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice,
to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
3 He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven
and sends it to the ends of the earth.
4 After that comes the sound of his roar;
he thunders with his majestic voice.
When his voice resounds,
he holds nothing back.
5 God's voice thunders in marvelous ways;
he does great things beyond our understanding.
6 He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,'
and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
So why do I ever worry about anything?
Seriously.
Why?
I've come to realize that the Bible is not a books of rules.
If God had wanted it to be that way, He wouldn't have made it so relational.
Right?
If his purpose in creating it was so that we would behave, he would could saved a lot of trees and just given us a few pages with laws listed in numerical order.
Instead we have a book that shows us God's character.
His character.
Who He is, what He feels, things He's done, battles He's fought in, and people He's fought for.
I think there's a "Religious Spirit" that's trying to mask that from us.
They don't want us to know that we can meet our Creator on a daily basis.
But we can.
And that's the beauty of it.
We have poetry and stories and parables all pointing to our Savior.
The Bible is relational.
Relational.
It is the living water.
It is Jesus is verbiage form.
And as Christians, as people who have infact claimed Christ, we should be salty.
What does salt do?
Salt makes you thirsty.
So by being "Salty people" we can give the world a thirst, and a place to quench it.
It's brilliant, really.
But now it's almost 4am.
I'm not sure if the time Wallie's clock has changed yet, so it might actually be 5.
hahaa
Oh dear.
:]
It's worth listening to all the way through:
[and I think it adds to it if you listen in the dark]
